Well your hindering your social life for one, not to mention you could be doing more productive things during the day.

My son plays a lot, I only allow certain times for him...but I'm afraid, once hes old enough and on his own...that's all hes going to do.....:(

I have written a paper on this as well.
I can't really describe the whole thing, but the conclusions of the experiments found that playing violent video games DOES increase violent and aggressive behaviour, these experiments were scientific and peer reviewed. Many disagree with this, but you can't disagree with cold hard scientific evidence

Nothing. I personally enjoy a good game of Halo every once in awhile. However, I work in surgery so the blood and guts is an everyday thing for me. I have yet to be driven into any psychotic rages because I play a video game now and then.

at first, playing violent video games seems like an inoccuous and entertaining pastime. over time, however, violent video games cause adults (and even some children) to become bored with violent video games, at which point they are no longer a source of entertainment. plus, it's "effects".

withdrawal from real life to play a game.
neglecting adult responsibilities to play game.

nothing no affects this is just another lame excuse to blame school shootings on remeber columbine they blamed it on the game "doom" this is another excuse to blame violence on people cuz of this guys who say this causes violence needs to get a life
