Yes. We no longer have a Temple, since Al Aqsa Mosque is built on our site.
A Synagogue is a place of learning.
A temple is for sacrifice.

This is not a bad question. It depends on what city you live in. Here in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, if you say you are going to "Temple", you could be going to a Conservative Synagogue in St. Paul(Temple of Aaron), or a Reform Synagogue in Minneapolis(Temple of Israel). I like the question, but I think you are going to get some sarcastic answers.

This can be very confusing because we name synagogues, and many of the names include the word Temple, i.e. Temple Emanu-El (Temple of God). Many people refer to the synagogue by calling it "Temple." Think of a church named "Temple of God." It's not really a temple, only a name.
When Jews hear the word Temple, they immediately think of THE Temple in Jerusalem that was destroyed in 586 BCE, rebuilt and destroyed a 2nd time in 70 CE.

Synagogue are our places of worship, like churches or mosques. The Temple, while being a place or worship, is for sacrifices and we don't have one anymore: the mosque is there instead.
