I've noticed alot of answers christians are putting out there like GOD WAS ALWAYS THERE when they question atheists about Genesis. Well if God was always there why did he just suddenly decide to create us 6,000 years ago, are we his project for the weekend?

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

The creation was the beginning, the logical approach to this is that an omnipotent Creator is obligated to create thus it was the first thing He did.

If time doesn't exist, then why do clock hands move?

How would we know why God chose to create life then? Why don't you try asking a realistic question, not one designed to cover up a smart remark. Possibly because we were his weekend project, would that make you feel more important?

A sensible creationist would say that God is atemporal, and that he created time "when" he created the earth, so there was no "before."

Do you think that we are God? How are we to know the beginning of God. I asked my mother that question when I was a kid and she didn't know and no one knows.

You have to start at some point. Everything has to have a beginning for it to have an end.
