Did you get your hair done at a salon? If you did, go back. They will fix it for you. In fact, they should not have let you leave until you were satisfied. If you did it at home, go to a salon, get a free consultation and by assessing your hair's condition, they can tell you what's best. There is more to it than just throwing a dark color on over it, however, you can go to a reputable salon and have it done right away. Be sure to go to someone who's been doing color for more than a day or two. Good luck.

First of all if you had it done in a salon and your not happy with the colour you and your stylist agreed on, you should go back and tell them. Regarding the actual colour, with not knowing the history of your hair, like what colour was it before you decided to go brunette, and what shade the brunette colour was eg. was it choc brown, or an aurben brown, if its faded to a strawberry blonde, then the incorrect colour was used, if you were trying to go from blonde to dark, the stylist should have used a semi, and done a back to back application, (which is two colours, one after the other) semis wont damage your hair, the damage occours when you have to many chemical applications applied to your hair. Permanant colours over blondes, dont last as the colour molecule is alot smaller than a semi colour molecule, and therefore just falls straight out of the hair resulting in "off shades" like strawberry or ashygreen, depending on the reflect in the colour chosen. Try to find a wella salon. They'll sort you out.

at least a week, two would be better, and whatever you do do not use a hair color with any "ash" coloring in it. "ash" is what can cause your hair to turn green if it has the slightest bit of blonde in it already and use a really good hydrating conditioner, the best is "Catwalk" oatmeal & honey

you can fix it anytime. my sister owns a hair salon so i am around this stuff all day. of course it will never be healthy for you but if you're going darker Go For It.. however, if you plan to bleach at all you should have the stylist examine your hair chances are it'll still be ok

i'm not exactly sure but i think you have to wait at least like a month... it seems like any less time would be kinda pushing it but you can always go to a hair salon nearby and find out... wish i could be more help... good luck with that!

I would wait 2 weeks to a month. And during this time use deep conditioners.
