I am just wondering what is a normal growth process for my rottweiler. Trying to figure out if she is petite. She weighs 61 pounds and is 10 months old. She doesn't seem to be very tall. Probably about 22 inches. Not sure if I measure right. But when will she stop growing. I want her to get big, and everyone says she is small.

Rottweilers and most other dogs stop growing after 14-16 months of age. She's a little bit over weight, but only 5-10lbs. Watch her food amount and the amount of doggy treats you give her.
good luck!

What does your vet say about her size and weight? An average sized female is at full growth 22'-25" and weighs between 80-100 pounds These dogs are considered medium-large breeds in size. Medium-large dogs usually are at full growth around 18-24 months. A true German bred Rottweiler is larger than the American breed. They live 8-11 years. They are susceptible to elbow dysplasia, gastric torsion, cataracts and several other medical problems. Have the eyes, heart, elbows and hips checked regularly by the vet. Hip and elbow dysplasia are very painful. I have had friends with both and there was a height and weight difference.

Try checking on AKC.org to get the average weight and hight of a female rottweiler. But at 10 months she has probably done the majority of her growing. But she will fill out a little more. Also, your veterinarian and breeder will know more. You can always ask them what they think.

My baby ( 6 years old rotti) is only a small boy (he only weighs around 45 kilos) I dont worry that he is not as big as most and the vet said that he is a healthy weight and height and that is all that matters to me.

At 10 months she's probably as "tall" as she's going to get, but she'll continue to put on muscle mass and bone density for several more months.
