Although the family will not be pleased, there is nothing morally wrong with it. HOWEVER......
If you just want to do it because she's a looker then don't bother, not worth it by anyones common sense; if you love her then go at it full throttle and knock any fool over who gets in the way as you will need to convince the family that you are serious about her (make sure it isn't just a crush for goodness sake!!!).

I suppose it depends on how close the family is really and how long you've known each other. There's a whole bunch of stuff that needs to be considered before you can say if it would be "weird" or not.
The very fact that you feel the need to ask suggests that you think it probably would be so it's probably a very bad idea.

I believe it depends on how you look at them. If you see them as just someone you know in the world it is fine. If you see them as family that is kinda weird. So it depends on how you look at them.
