We have departed in July on the RC, June on the Ecstasy and March on the Conquest. The new terminal is great!

The problem with July and beyond departures are: hurricane season and Mexico is already miserably hot in July. Hurricanes in the Gulf can be very unpredictable. We avoid cruising July-Nov.

It was good and warm in June but not unbearable. Ship was full due to kids being out of school. No freebie upgrades.

The weather is good in March but you are competing with the Spring Break travelers.

I took a cruise out of Galveston to Cozumel in January. It was great! The weather in Houston was ...typical. Windy, cold and rainy. In Cozumel it was sunny warm and very nice. Its not hurricane season either, so no worries about that. And January is off season for the cruise packages... the prices were very affordable.
