back bacon (canadian bacon) is made from the pork loin ( in other words what normally would be part of the pork chop). Yes it is smoked but not cooked before packaging. Ham is usually the top of the hind leg and shoulder before you get to the roasts, although any part of the hog can be smoked and cured including the jowls. Side bacon comes from the edge of the ribs down to the belly. side bacon is what you see on burgers and such,
russian dressing is a salad dressing ...here's the recipe.

The difference between it being Canadian Bacon or Ham is how it is cured. The taste will be different.

Canadian bacon is cured " brine and salts " not regular ham at all.
