Whats the best dog breed?

i just thought it would be interesting to hear what dog breed/s people thought was the best and why.

well, my favorite is the Miniature American Eskimo [[mine in the pic]]

I'm going to get a bunch of thumbs down here. But for me the best dog breed is a pit bull. They are not the best breed for everyone. But i sure love em. I love all large dogs with a cute face and short easy to care for coat. But the pit bulls personality is my favorite. A lot of people don't like them because they are 'aggressive' 'have locking jaws' and 'turn on their owners' Which is not true. Any dog behaves based on how it is treated. I have only met sweet pit bulls. They are happy, fun loving, and loyal dogs. I love seeing a pit bull sitting at the door smiling waiting for their owner to come in. They have the energy to play and take long walks, but they are also calm enough to lay on the couch with you to watch a movie. There are so many things i love about them, i wish more people could see them the way i see them.

I believe it is yorkshire terrier. they are lapdogs. Do not shed. Hypoallergenic. travel well. Can be taken in most hotels. smart. do tricks well. Don't require a lot of food, or medication. for example heart worm for mutt from pound 150.00 heart worm for 5 lb yorkie was 50.00 for 6 month supply you do the math. Loved my big old mutt, but It is nice not having the dog hair all over the place anymore. And the food bill is a lot less. I had 12 wonderful years with my big old mutt, and loved them all but learned.

I really love German Shepherd Dogs. They are really smart, loyal, faithful and easy to train. They are a thinking breed, I love the way they try to work around what you want them to do like they found a better way. They are also one of the most versatile dogs. I also think they are absolutely gorgeous. I will never in my life go without a GSD.

I love my Shetland Sheepdog. She's with my mom right now and she's smart, cuddly, and playful. She loves all humans, but not fond of other dogs.

I also have an Staffordshire Terrier (pit) and I would not get another one. They're much harder to train and THEY DO have a temper. I'm not saying all of Pitbulls are bad, but 70% have bad tendencies. It's the truth, so deal with it.

Please define the word 'best'.
I don't think there's a thing as 'best' in this world, only 'better' cause everything has its own ups and downs. I like Dalmations for their looks, Beagles for their cuteness, German Shepard for their obedience, grey hounds for their speed, labradors for being quiet and intelligent, mastiffs and boxers for their strength (but i hate their drooling habits), but all in all I'd prefer the wolves (if I can get my hands on one or two), cause they have amazing stamina, cooperates and coexists well with one another, they're fast too, and they're good-looking plus their characteristic howls, if you manage to bond with them, they are extremely loyal too (i'm not influenced by the novel White Fang by Jack London).

Pomeranian... but Pomeranian Cross Pekingese is the best cross breed .. my dog is one and she is gorgeous .. .. . she looks beautiful, loves people, cuddles, and is very placid.. she also hardly ever barks .. (except at possums .. cause i live in Australia.. ) And she is the smartest dog i know .. everyone who sees her swears there is a person inside .. She is also playful but loves a nap...

i think the best breed is the pitbull theyre such a great breed but everyone misunderstands this breed and right now theres alot of bad publicity on these dogs because of the media
