Why don't you try a name that has some type of meaning to you, for example a friend, love one, a character you may have identified with in a book, something you love, rain, sunshine, or candy. One of my dogs I looked in "The book of Saints" and chosed "St. John Bosco" because he was a protector and caretaker of children. "Bosco" turned out to be Animal Planets #1 Name for a dog the following year. My latest addition is affectionally known as "Chubby". I'm sure you will find a suitable name.

We've had two female dogs. The first came with her name when we got her (Molly) and the second we named Jasmine. My mom had a dog named Paws and my aunt had one named Lady. But I've always liked something you don't hear very often. You could try something from mythology or even a name from one of your fave books.

It would help if we knew what breed of female dog. For instance I wouldn't want to name a female Doberman Lassie.
