I have a 2004 GM vehicle, and looking to replace factory cd player with factory cd/cassette. Have found some used ones that came from 2001 and 2002 (same model vehicle) but saw somewhere that I have to use 2004 parts or newer or else the codes won't unlock,. True or false? Most ads say the system will work in 00-04, so I thought that meant any of them, but now I'm confused.

as long as dimensions are the same //most radios are bout 9inches x 2inches

Its 12v , so many watts so many amps, but its a 12v Power Supply, so yes, its do-able.

sure it will work as long as your wires put in the correct way it should work. with no prob.
