1) Do you drink a lot of water during the day?
2) Thirsty a lot?
The reason I'm asking this is because thirst, and a lot of urination, is a possible sign of diabetes, hypoglycemia *chronic low blood surgar which can lead to diabetes* or pre-diabetes.
Sugar doesn't always show up in the urine if it's hypoglycemia..I was hypoglycemic..now I'm pre-diabetic, so I know this from my experience. The best way to find out is via a blood test. It's called a 3 hour glucose tolerance test.
Also, it could be an over active bladder. That can happen also.
A bladder infection will also cause you to want to urinate a lot, BUT it usually comes hand in hand with pain.
Those are three possibilities..I'm sure there are more. The best suggestion I can give you is to ask your Dr. on this one. If it is an over active bladder, there are medications to help that now.

Let me ask you a couple of questions.
How old are you?
Are you over weight?
Have you been checked for diabetes?
Do you have family members that are diabetic or have kidney problems.
Why I asked you these questions are:
If your in the beginning stages of diabetes or kidney problems you will need to think about these things.
If you are 40+ over weight and not been checked for diabetes then it is time you should request a fasting glucose test.
A urine test doesn't detect diabetes unless your sugar is farily high and depending on your renal threshold it may not show up at all. Mine never does even when my blood sugar is 300.
Never the less you should be checked for diabetes (blood test) and have some general blood tests done for kidney fundction.
And just in case you did not know drinking water is the best thing you can do for your body if you are healthy or having health problems.

Normally I would say that you have a possibility of having Diabetes. But you say your doctor did a urine test. If he did a blood test also, then I don't know. I had that problem also, and it was diabetes. I also urinated a lot when I was taking a diuretic for swelling in my legs.
