If you have a computer, create an original birthday card. You can also do a search and find a poem for her on the internet. Or, just volunteer to cook dinner and clean up afterwards. She'd appreciate that! Tell her you love her and give her a coupon for doing extra chores around the house later that she can cash in whenever.

Shame on you, she gave birth to ya..ur her baby..her life. even if ur in ur 40's .
im a mommy of a 2yr old ...so many mixed emotions with being a mommy. Anything that you two do together she will enjoy.
If you try bakin or makin somthing, doing something from the heart, just spending time with her. If you got money or time find something online if shes not computer savvy then put on some music and dance with her im not sure of the relationship you two share but think of what she means to you, remenisce about times and things you did together...you will come up with something. Or make her a card/poem--use the internet for ideas or words....tell her you are proud of her, love her and let her know she'll always be in your heart.
i know too mushy but..there's exceptions when its your mother!!!
GL!

Wow...today is my dad's birthday and I didn't get him anything either!!! I called him and told him happy birthday and apologized. I told him I would be sending him a card in the mail. I had the grandkids call him and wish him a happy birthday too. Offer to take her to dinner at her convenience.

Wait a minute ... guys are good at this ....
a lot of online stores (Walmart, Target, probably Bath and Body works) etc have online gift cards that you can email to your mom. You might be able to do a restaurant.

If your a teen do the dishes or make dinner for her. Just do something nice for her and don't worry about the gift. She'll remember your actions.
If your in your twenties and still live at home....clean the whole house and pay this months mortgage payment.

Stop at the grocery store on your way over. Make her dinner and clean up after. Don't forget to pick up a little cake or some cup cakes and a card!

Go to JC Penney and buy her some jewerly. Great stuff at reasonable prices. They are open until 10:00 pm. You could also get her a gift card and let her pick out her own stuff.

I would suggest writing her a letter telling her how much she means to you, and how thankful you are to have her as a mother. It's thoughtful, and easy. And moms go crazy for that stuff. Good luck!
