When I was in basic, we used alot of BenGay for our sore muscles. And I also know some females who used pills for headaches, cramps etc. We bought the stuff at the PX. Not a problem.

No during basic you will not be authorized use of a cell phone. You will have opportunities to call home throughout the course at authorized times. All facilities in basic have payphones available and you can pick up a cheap calling card with about 250 to 500 minutes which will last you the entire time there.

That's all they give you in the military anyways, not just boot camp.
In the Corps, we would joke about it all the time.
Broken Arm = Take Motrin
Pneumonia = Take Motrin
Grenade takes your arm off = You guesses it, take Motrin.
Burning sensation when you urinate = QTip up your d**k, and then take Motrin.
So, plan on taking a lot of Motrin. Everyone else out there, buy stock in the company that makes Motrin.

I have never been in the military but they usually provide everything including medical needs. Ask the recruiter contact about this. They should be able to help you with what details you need covered before you go in. Good Luck in your basic training!

No, you cannot bring your own medication, like you said. But if you talk to the Military Doctor about it, i'm sure he'll give you something for it, there is a pharmacy on base.

yes and no! if it is something that you need to take then u can bring it with you, once you get there you will need to tell them. you cannot have any medication once you get past reception i believe. but you will go to the tmc troop medical clinic and tell them what you are taking and the will give you your refill there.

Please tell me that the only job you'll be doing in the service is cleaning toilets. Please tell me you won't be handling live rounds or mortars or anything like that.
