Wow.. your very eager to get out of fault in this accident arent you? Easy to blame anyone but yourself huh?
No, you cant sue honda. Well, yes, in theory you can.. but youll get laughed out of court.
Did it affect you that the airbag didnt go off? Did you hit the windshield because of no airbag? No and No.
Most you will get is an inspection by honda to confirm your airbag is working correctly for future use. Likely the car was hit harder on the passenger side then the driver which caused that sensor to release the airbag

What kind of accident were you in? Why did the side airbags deploy but not the driver airbag? Was it a side collision, on the passenger side? Regardless, airbags can't prevent all injuries, and are capable of causing minor ones themselves. You don't get to sue over that unless it's something really serious that isn't just something you accept that airbags will do. Scrapes and bruises are among them. You aren't giving enough information for anyone to know if Honda is at fault, or if in fact there was any kind of malfunction. Unless you DO end up giving that kind of information (what kind of accident it was, what airbags deployed and whether they inflated all the way...trust me, you'd know, the EXACT nature of your injuries) to someone, no, you can't sue Honda.

You can sue anyone for pretty much anything. Whether or not you'd win is another question entirely.
As you are "doing alright and not injured" I'm not sure what your damages would be. In addition, I think you'll have a hard time proving that this is Honda's fault. When is the last time the car had routine mainteanance done. Do you have records?
If I were you I would thank them you're safe and move on.

i worked for honda for 7 years and i do not believe you can sue them for this reason. airbags are "secondary" safety precautions, seat belts are 1. people have brought in vehicles when their SRS light which means some component has failed and the airbags will not deploy. quite often the part nned to fist the SRS system is not in stock so we send people on their way in their car with the airbags not working, since they are not the primary safety system.

I do not believe you can sue, as airbags are not guaranteed to go off in the event of an accident.

good luck trying if you were in a accident and it was your fault. depending on how the accident actually occured and what areas of the vehicle were involved with primary and secondary impact then the airbag may have not deployed

DEFINATELY. that pisses me of that some cars have retarded airbags...my sister was in a real bad wreck, but was hit on the driver side of her car. the only thing is that for her airbags to deploy, she had to be hit head on at the very center of her car where the emblem is. i think that the airbags should deploy anywhere you get hit, even if yur not hit in the front. but you can definately sue and you might get a VERY pretty penny out of it. Honda is normally a very trustworthy car company...and thats coming from someone who hates little foreign cars, unless they're english cars. =]

If you ask any auto repair shop they will tell you that there are many "pressure points" on a vehicle and these have to be hit to deploy your air bag. My man hit a deer going 70 and his air bag didn't come out and this is why!

so you sueing for the potential danger and faulty manufacturing. this could be a class action and you should see if anyone else has had the same problem. it would need to be rectified by honda as a safety concern. you might actually save other peoples lives if money is not your only motivation

What are you suing for? You weren't injured, so the airbag wasn't needed. You also rear-ended someone, so you were at fault.
