i have this sensation right before i get a cold sore....

I experience numbness in my lips if I consume anything with salt. Which is a lot of things.
Maybe you have sensitive skin, or it could be an allergy. I have both so it's tough.

That's normal. Maybe you're lips are too dry or you're just cold. Obiously, you can just drink more water or wear more clothing

it could be an allergy to some type of food or cosmetic.
