ok last yr during the 1st semester of 10th grade there was a grl in my class dat likes me and it was clear and every1 knew it. even the teacher. the way she looked at me, touched me etc.
she's attractive to but i didn't even knew her name.
i was going to ask her out to the winter ball dance but i didn't want to lead her on into a committed relationship because i am afraid of committment in a relationship. and i wasn't looking for a gf at the moment.

You did the absolute right thing. Cause you did move after the first trimester, and maybe you or her can't take a long distance relationship and were going to break up anyway, and you would both get hurt. It was the right thing, and students from other places may say "dude why did you turn her down like that" don't get mad! Cause you did the right thing!

if you felt it (chemistry) then go for it..you never know what could be lost ...or found in yrs to come. As you get older you will see that after highschool lots of things change marriages, deaths, college, kids...you only get four yrs of highschool the first is introduction the rest LIFE lessons. In or out of school highschool is the beginning to ur future.
Being afraid of commitment could be due to your past relationship or the relationship you observed as a child it is ok to be afraid, shy but don't let it control your life bc you just may miss out on what could be/have been a great thing.

There are a lot of men who play with women heads which just leads to serious heartbreak. I believe it was the best thing to do, asking her out would have definitely gave her the wrong idea. I know if a boy were to ask me out I would think he likes me because that usually is not a gesture of a friend.

If you wanna ask her out talk to one of her friends get her number and do it. If you wanna go out with her. I understand why you didn't ask her out then. Ask her out now but tell her you afraid of committment and that way you both could work on it together. I hope i helped you um i love to talk to you more if you want email me at ipodfan10@yahoo.com

No. A date is a date. To tell her you would be looking long term would be a lie. To ask her out on a date does not mean you are looking for a long term relationship.

there's not much of a 'committment' in 10th grade man, you shoulda just fooled around with her, taken her out on a date to see how far she'd let you go

it would be ok to ask her to the dance if u just tell her the truth that you dont want a relationship out of it and its just a date.

Yeah, you probably did the right thing. No one likes to be lead on to any degree.
