It's a jolly good question, dunno who can have rated it down!
I get as much natural light as possible, as soon as the sun's out -which is rare enough, I know... wrap up warm and go out, whatever the purpose, even just an aimless walk. Keep out of the shade and enjoy the sunbeam, even at home: I've moved the settee where it get the sunlight all afternoon.
Another very important factor is SLEEP. No point staying up late and then wasting some of the precious early morning hours of daylight.
It's a bit of a change of lifestyle, but hey, it's only for a few months and your well-being is worth it.

PS: You can purchase special SADS lamps if you can afford them.

Fine if you can take a vacation to some sunny place...but for some of us...taking vitamin D and/or sunshine is the most we can afford.....I live in the northwest where we are having an unusually cold snowy grey ugly winter..and I've had enough...please send some sun.....

FYI being lonely during winter in terms of medical explanation is due to lack of sunlight

sunlight in a sense has a great effect in our mood
once our body is shillhouted with the sunlight our endogenic hormone SEROTONIN is stimulated to ptoduce more which in turns affect our mood to go high,

But once in cold weather where the sun is away, our serotonin level goes down which in effect affect our mood and we tend to be sleepy and lonely for sometime

which means , all you have to do is to wait the sun to shine...

good question.............
