Some folks already touched on this, but the short answer is "it depends." Since MS is a very personal disease, because it affects everyone that has it in a different way, it will depend on:

- what symptoms you have
- how frequently you have relapses
- how debilitating the relapses are

My MS allows me to continue work, and I intend to continue until something changes, and then I'll deal with it when I get there.

depending on the severity of the MS...if thier breathing is ok, and they have some use of thier hands... i would think that they could do phone work! maybe in customer service.
my 42 yo brother has MS and i think of this question often.he is now on disability and....well...phone work wouldnt be his cup of tea. he was a carpenter for most of his life.

It depends how advanced it is. If not too advanced, I'd say they could do a lot.
