How much does that cost to get him neutered?

I too have a puppy that does this. The only thing that we do is when we see him doing it we say "no blutarsky" and kinda nice nice push his hind-quarter. My kids call it his Butt dance, they have no clue. We tell the kids if you see him doing the butt dance say "no blutarsky" with authority and he stops. He is 5 months old and a lab so now he is neutered and does not do it as much. Your dog will always do it but don't let him right from the start and he will settle down. I am not a pro but just from experience.

It has nothing to do with sex, it's his way of trying to show he's dominant. He needs to be corrected ("NO!") when he starts to do this or it will continue and you will have one of those dogs who humps everyone. A lot of people think it's funny when the dog is a puppy and allow it to continue, then are sorry later! :) My dog started doing it at 6 weeks old but stopped once he was corrected several times. Dogs don't think the same way humans do, they are looking for the pack leader and that needs to be you. Hope that helps!

Neutering as soon as he is old enough will definitely help and if he is doing it to you and other family members, look into puppy training classes. They will show you how to teach him that you are boss.Humping is a dominance thing with dogs and it needs to be established early in his life that YOU are the "alpha dog" so to speak. That needs to be made clear to him now, because if you wait till he is grown, you will have a major behavior and aggression problem with him.

Likely yer NOT gonna stop it.. its just the way it is.. get used to it is my advice.. my FIXED POM 4 years later does the hump routien to his toys...Its the way it is...

SHEESH may as well ask you what it takes you to give up sex entirely and be a good little Xtian.. well when you can do that (including mastrubation) lemme know and I'll give you an answer on yer dog humping things SHEESH!

It is an animal Domme thing... even femals will do it... but its not like yer pup has coverted to yer Xtian ethic people.. they are what they are.. get over it.. sheesh

Sorry (actually not) what a PUTZ!

Personally i think most of the rest of you people should be "FIXED" might cut down on the BS in the world today... so much for letting DEFECTIVES reproduce huh?

Best answer I can give? Umm how many times you been married Before? ( at least twice I'm guessing) STOP! STOP STOP STOP.. puppy or marriage yer a failure and yer how old?? Sheesh.. (just a guess)

My dog did this when she was a puppy. I think it's a dominance thing. Every time she'd start to do it we just said "NO!" as we picked her up and put her down several feet away. Then if she tried it again we'd do the same thing each time she tried it. She is 6 years old now and hasn't done it since she was a puppy, but she occasionally (pretty rarely) tries to do it to the cats.

get his attention focused on you and repeat the word no many times until he stops the behavior a good boy or a treat will let him know if he wants you attention he won't go humping everything in sight now if we could teach some people the same lesson it sure would be nice

lmbo..my dog does the same thing. What I do is throw whatever he humped and say "Well, this doesn't liked to be humped! Do you still want to hump it?" thats what I do, and it seems to work. Also, it just might mean you need a little "friend" for your dog.

1) ok 3 months is to early to get newtered - Most vets will say 6 months - but you can get vets that will do it befoere in special cases - like this -- call around local vets to see what they do & for best price etc

2) Get a plactic spray bottle - NEw not one that contained any cleaning materials - if he starts being 'fresh' with anything squirt him with the water in the New water spray bottle.

unless hes a big water fan he will get distracted & stop - momentarily anyways - till the next time LOL
I reccomend getting him fixed ASAP though

hi there, well its completely normal for a male dogs to do that, especailly small dogs. if u wish to stop it, just get him desexed. u will find it will stop n lower his temperment down as well.
or u can take my mother in laws suggestion and that is dont desex him but give him a play toy which he knows is his and that he can hump it when ever he feels like.

Talk with you vet.
What you see as 'humping' may be his way of letting you know something is wrong.
He may have a bladder problem or worms and it itches!
