would martail arts be a good or bad for some one who has agression issues?

It depends on the instructor. For the most part, it would be good because of the discipline. Try Tai Chi, incorporates meditation and a good physical workout.

it made no difference to me. but it did make me realise to be careful about who I directed my rage at, as that guy might be just as nasty.

all sheep have the potential to be wolves.

I found training preoccupied the outbursts, but wasnt a cure. so even tai chi may not be of any help. you have to source the root of the problem of why you are aggressive, and fix that.
that is the best help.

and counting to 10 didnt work either, when the rage was over I counted the next number:1

Depends on the school/instructor. MA can be a great stress releiver, where else can you kick punch & scream without anyone getting angry. A school where all they do is spar would likely be a problem. Focus on forms is better. Also make sur ethe instructor is aware of the issues from the beginning.
