the very best that you can do, is what is perfect for you. and that's all you can do. if she expects perfection and and you strive for it it would be in your best interest to practice perfection in every thing you do that way you will walk away knowing you gave your all and what would be better than that? dont short change yourself.

I think this is a "suck it up and deal with it" situation unfortunately. All college students have to deal with that one professor who thinks that the world revolves around them. You could tell administration but unfortunately, things may not change in enough time for it to benefit you. What you need to do is adjust your life to this workload. I know it sounds rough but sometimes we need to make sacrifices for the things that we want to do in the future. I personally had an exorbitant amount of books to read for a class last semester and I had to change my lifestyle a bit so I could sit and read more. I survived and made it through that class with an A. I also do not think that changing your field is going to help. You will find professors like this everywhere.

ALL teachers expect perfection. My dad is a teacher and I know... if you are not "prefect" when giving medicine then some one/thing could die or get worse. if you do not want to deal with "perfection'' then you cannot be a vet, nurse, doctor, or any other kind of work that involves any kind of medicine.

In any academic program you are going to have some courses with heavy work loads. At least it sounds like you have a fair balance since you're getting straight As in your other classes with a lot less work. I had to suck it up for some courses in my degree programs, too. You can do it.
