It would be OK to feed her fresh steamed chicken(no bones) as a daily treat but not as her main source of food. She needs more nutrients than she can get from just chicken.
If she is going off her regular food you should first check her teeth to make sure that she doesn't have a problem with tarter or worse. If her teeth are all good, just give her the regular food and leave it there for her. No treats at all until she has eaten it. If its been there for a while, replace it with fresh stuff. She will eat before she goes hungry. I know as I had to do it with my baby when she decided she only wanted people food. Now she gets her regular meals which she munches right up and then treats of real meat.

Any kibble is less healthy than a meat based diet, and if you plan to feed a home formulated diet it is good to make sure the diet is balanced as regards protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals. You have to be very careful formulating your own diet, working with a nutritionist is a good idea. Vets don't like raw food diets because meat that is uncooked can contain pathogenic bacteria and parasites which are destroyed during the cooking process, and the vets are always the ones that end up dealing with the bloody diarrheas that result from these diseases. What you feed your dog is of course your business, but you need to tell your vet about this and run the food sources by him/her so he/she can try to help you decide which is the best and safest to use. Anyone who tells you NOT to work with your vet on this is not interested in the overall health of your dog. You might want to consider consulting a veterinary nutritionist, there are some that will actually formulate diets for you containing the ingredients that you choose.

I used to give my sensitive-stomach dog boiled chicken , and he handled it very well. However, dogs need additional vitamins and fat than that. If he likes the taste, Science Diet makes a great Duck and Potato formula that you could mix with the chicken. It is very gentle and has the full spectrum of nutrients. It is also a hard food, so it will be better for his teeth.

The dog should eat dog food, period. If the dog was ill, sick to the stomach, the chicken is a good way to feed that won't be so rough on the digestive system, however, if you are replacing good quality dog food in favor of people food you will be doing your dog no favor.

thats not fair...I cant afford to eat meat every day!!!!!

It is best to feed comercial dog food as it is made up to provide all the nutritional needs, specific to a dog. Try her on different brands of food and if not leave it for her to eat. She will soon get hungry and eat it.

I know it sounds cruel but we had to do it with my dog. He got so fussy and he is a dog and wanted all our human food. When he got hungry he ate, he still doesnt like some types of dog food so we do panda to him in some ways by getting what he likes.

I was just reading something the other day that was saying that chicken is the best for dogs.. I am not quite sure of the sources but they were also saying that red meat is not so good for dogs either??
I would be careful with the chook though, unless you get the organic type free range chicken, (ching $ ching $) your furry friend may end up with hormone type boobies!

you can feed her some chicken and plain rice. tho sometimes people food does rot their teeth and their stomachs are very sensitive so they can get diarrhea. There are also gravy sauces they make for dog food now that you can put on regular dog food she might find that more tasty. good luck.

stewed chicken it very good for dogs but you need to get more variety in her diet I always cooked rice and put it in with the chicken and then added a high grade dog food a little at a time for my pooches to get adjusted to a new dog food

Sometimes people food is better for dogs because you know exactly what they are eating. But, i would consult a vet before completely changing their diet.
