Less than would have died if we would be fighting the war on US soil. Over 3,000 people died on 9-11. We kill 4000 unborn babies a day through abortion, beings that have not had a chance to life yet. Soldiers are not playing games wars do produce casualties, this is real life. When they joined the military they must have had a clue this could happen. We lost more men in Viet-Nam on a policing mission with less troop support than in Iraq. I thank our troops for protecting our freedom and the sacrifices of their families. If the government could use me over there I would go. But I am considered old, 44 years old.

Just over 3,000 troops since 2002, The real question is how many do we kill here with Drunk Drivers? I think to keep the price of oil down and have the terrorist fight there and not here is a drop in the bucket compared what "WE" do to our selves. Nor do I need to add the countless people who die from smoking and drug abuse. It is just easier to pick on a war than the tens of thousands that die a year other than a bullet. Yes the war is costing us money, but no where near what the above abuses have on our economy.

We are now well over 3,052 and counting.
It is just as worse that we have 50,000 or more wounded. No eyes, no legs, burns, faces missing, arms gone, hands not usable, and illness beyond belief. They are coming home everyday wounded and many sent to a life in a wheel chair.
This has to stop. Saddam is dead. We need to pull out and give them back there country, bottom line. The bombs will never stop. We are occupying their country and forcing democracy down their throats. They dont want it.
My Army son just came back from Iraq, so ask him? He will tell you they are bitter. One minute they act like they are your friend and the next they pull a granade out to blow your body to bits.
He has seen it all. All the blood shed of troops and Iraqi civilians. He says their country is in rubble, trash everywhere. They are resorting to barbaric practices that I can not tell you here.
We do not need to lose any more fine young men. Lets bring them all home and protect our borders.
And remember, many in office do not care that we lose men and women in Iraq as long as they can push their cause. It should outrage the public that many of the military lives lost are those of different races, blacks, asians, mexicans, puerto rican. That is because many minorities enter the Military to have a good job, make a new life, food for their families, and money for education. It angers me, our government just dont care.

3020. Official count of troops wounded is 23,000; estimated count is as high as 100,000.
"Wounded" is such a gentle word. Let's use "maimed" instead. Missing limbs, faces blown off, brain injuries, and the thousands who were shipped out because of mental problems.

the United States have lost 3,000 plus and over 100,000 Iraqi civillians. That is one too many that had to die because of the decisions of George W. Bush, **** Cheney, and Donald Rumsfield.

Let me think. how many die in training accidents?mmm how many die in off duty recreation activities? If you look back at other wars you will find that the death rate per hour in combat is so low ans to be figured with a multi point calculator. Difference is we see it on TV. If we were not taking the fight to the enemy bey you will see them bring ing it to us and then how many died is immaterial. as for the actual deaths it is now just over 3000

So many people died, it's hard to count. Watch the news and keep up with it...you may just learn more.

Since the war started there have been about 3,220 U.S casualties.
Most of the deaths and woundings are caused by suicide bombers and roadside bombs NOT bullets. This just shows the world how much of cowards the Iraqi insurgents are.
