do we need passports for our two children? We are planning a trip in Feb.

No you don't need passports but they are better to have. You only need to have birth certificates and some kind of picture i.d. But be aware that the rules are changing and that you will need a passport to get in/out of the U.S. in a year or so.

If you all have the same last name on the documents and it is therefore clear you are the parents then all you need are birth certificates.

Different from flying, driving into Canada doesn't require passports for another year or maybe even two. But it is good that you have them.

Yes you will.
Don't assume anything!
Save yourself allot of delay and headache and get the children passports as well.
They are usually a little cheaper than adult passports because they don't last as long as adult passports.

Check the department of state website, or just do a passport search. It will tell you if they need passports. Since you and your husband have them, you should be fine. If you are going in February, you better hurry.
