I couldnt stay out after dark pretty much until I was able to drive.
As far as bed goes, I never really had a time, but I think I was in bed by 10-11 unless I had a late hockey game or was watching a late sporting event.

I didn't have one, stayed up late most nights and was always running late for school. Now I am no longer a teenager and struggle to get up in the morning, which is hard because my 6 year old rises at 6:00 a.m. Practice going to bed, you will be happier later in life. My husband's teenage niece came to live with us and my husband gets up at 5:00 a.m. and goes to bed at 10:00 p.m. She also has to get up at 5:30 a.m. for school. Out of courtesy to my husband she is required to be home by 10:00 p.m. so she doesn't wake him when she comes in. The TV goes off at 10:30 p.m., however, she can read or go to bed when she likes. She finds herself falling asleep earlier and not have a hard time getting up anymore. Before she came to live with us she was up until wee hours of the morning and missed many days of school because she could not get up. She went from D's to A's and B's. It depends what you want in life. Your curfew is up to you. Just know it greatly effects your performance in anything and the rest of your life.

When I was a teenager, I didn't have a bedtime. My parents made it my responsibility to get the rest I needed and to get myself up and ready for school. If I overslept and was late (or even missed a day) for school, I lost privileges. The same went if my grades dropped to an unacceptable level. I had a midnight curfew on school nights and a 1 am curfew on weekends. But that was mostly because I had a job and ended up working until 11 o'clock at night during the week.

I didn't have a bedtime, but quiet time began at 9pm: no music, no loud conversations with my sister, etc. No phone after 10pm. Sometimes my mom would come in my room and tell me the homework wasn't THAT important if it was keeping me up past midnight on school nights. (I was a bit of a perfectionist and would re-do things over and over until they were "just right".)
10 or 11pm sounds about right, just so long as you're getting enough sleep to do well in school and life.

When I was in school, I had to go to bed around 11 or 11:30 (on school nights). Now that I'm graduated, it really doesn't matter anymore.

I didn't have a set bedtime usually as long as I was quiet. However, it started a lifelong habit and now I'm what you'd call a night person. I have a daytime job, so I feel like crap most of the time. You'll be glad you had a reasonable bedtime in your teen years.

I never had a bedtime when I was a teenager, but I also never went to bed late. It's funny, when parents don't make restrictions, kids don't feel any need to push them.

9 on school nights, 11 on weekends, but I could stay up to watch Saturday Night Live if it was on and I wasn't grounded. If I was grounded it was whenever mom decided--could be as early as 7:30 if she had no chores for me to do.
