If you don't want to give him medication, I have had great success with my Chihuahua using a flee comb. It's even finer than a fine tooth comb. As I combed out the flees, I had a glass with water and a little dish soap in it. I dropped the flees in the glass and they floated to the bottom and died. You just have to make sure to catch the little buggers before they jump onto the floor. Good luck!

Go to the vet and get the pup some Advantage. Advantage is a topical medication that is labeled for puppies as young as 6 weeks old.
Someone else recommended Capstar, but I think that is for puppies 8 weeks old or older. However, the vet would know for sure.
I would stay completely away from any over the counter treatments. Many of them have ingredients that can cause allergic reactions in animals.
Make sure that you thoroughly wash any bedding that the puppy has been sleeping on and came with. Also, vacuum the area where the puppy has been staying in you house repeatedly. This will help keep you from getting a major infestation going in your home. Trust me, it doesn't take much and this has already become a bad flea year and it is only two weeks into it!

The fine tooth comb with a 4:1 rubbing alchol. Treat the rest of the house some. Vacuum and swep to keep the fleas from getting else where in the house. Bath the puppy regular and the soap kills some. Just have to keep on at the fleas.

An easy way to pick live fleas off your dog is to dip a Q-tip in Vaseline. Just touch the tip to the flea and it becomes stuck in the vaseline. No pinching the dog!

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

First off NEVER use ANY OTC flea products including powders, collars & shampoos...they are ineffective and very dangerous..they can cause serious skin burns, neurological problems, seizures & death.
Go to the vet and get either Advantage or Frontline.

Just stick him (minus his head obviously) in a little water.
(Submerge) You will see the fleas come off pretty much immediately. Shampooing him and bathing him is not going to do it. Also -- You better treat your house for fleas as well - otherwise you are fighting a losing battle. . .
ALSO very important --- very small dog breeds and puppies are at a health risk when it comes to fleas biting them because they can actually become anemic from being bitten by the fleas.
If you can't get the fleas under control; consult your veterinarian ASAP!!!!!!

he's merely too youthful to be separated from his mom & muddle friends, take him returned for yet another month a minimum of! there is no such element as a teacup Chihuahua, to procure ripped off. they are overpriced genetic nightmares runts bred for length and not something - respected breeders do not breed them. The "breeder" to procure him from would desire to be mentoring you. Get a crate and crate prepare it, it cuts abode coaching in a million/2. abode coaching toy canines would properly be very complicated.

Fill a spray bottle half full of white vinegar and half full of water.
Shake it up. Put the dog in the sink. Spray it (avoid its eyes)
Rub the mixture in. Leave on for 5 minutes. Rinse with lots of warm water. Towel dry the puppy and pick off the dead fleas with tweezers.

Go to your vets office tomorrow and get a CAPSTAR pill. I will kill all of the fleas on him in 20 minutes, it is inexpensive, and it is safe for puppies over 3 weeks.
