i put a cd int the cd rom and ran it for a while. Decided to stop cd. Took out and started computer and it said boot failure disk insert disk and hit enter i did and cd runs again but i do not want to run this disk anymore.

If your computer normally boots without a CD - the CD programme is not shutting down. When you re-boot it looks for the same CD and programme again. First try closing the programme completely. USE CTRL-ALT-DEL to end the task or programme

Power off the computer, and re-start. Should be able to boot from the hard disk. If it does not, then you may have had a virus that killed your BIOS.

Did you take the CD out when you restarted the computer?
