Everytime I put ice in my water and let it sit for a minute or two, there is this sediment crap on the bottom of my glass. What is it? And why is it not there when I fill the glass with the H2O? I use the same water to make the ice. Does the freezing process do something to the minerals in the water? Just curious. It looks like a bunch of little boogers. Yuck

In the winter most water companies place chemicals into the water supply to combat other chemicals washed off the road during calicum/saltings. This is normal and will not hurt you.

Now if you have a well I would get the water checked as soon as possible.

Other then that, you could always use bottled water as most of this will be filtered out.

Little white things? I have them too. I was told that it is the calcium and other minerals in the water. Could always filter the water before you freeze.
