Guys what are some reasons as to why you stay friends or "hang-out" with an ex? My ex-boyfriend dumped me a year ago, yet last week he called me and asked me to go see a movie with him. Then he took me home, and when I asked him why he wanted to see me, he said that he wants to see me "every once in awhile". It's strange that he said he wants to see me sometimes cuz we only dated for one month & even after it was over he would still say hi to me on msn, although he never asked me to see him until now.By the way, we never had sex cuz he knew that I wanna save myself for marriage. So what does he REALLY want? He's 26 and I'm 21.
I heard that guys like to stay friends with all of their ex-girlfriends, why is that!!!!???? Should I feel happy that my ex wants to still hang out and be "friends"?

You're still posting this question?? Listen, we simply act out of our feelings towards you, that's all. So if we are still talking to our ex, it's cause we're not over them. It isn't worth it for you to find out because you're trying to wait for marriage, and he obviously isn't, which may have something to do with why you aren't together in the first place. It'd be different if that weren't the case, and you were just curious, but this is something that could impact your future relationships, and it's not worth taking that chance.

see its very difficult for guys to say NO... they wouldnt even say no to their male frens coming over and staying the nite.... they feel being a part of the male species he has some responsiblity for the females he knows... trust me he probably has nothing towards his EX.... he is having a baby with you.... He obviously loves you enough... after he wants you out of all to be the mother of his baby.... And darling there is a reason why she is the EX and you are the present and the future :)

Still hang out and be friends...awww...how precious. Seriously, the only reason a man wants to hang out with his ex is because he's either a)not getting any right now and wants to be with someone that he feels he doesn't have to wear a social face for a while just to have sex with her, or b)just thinks he can have sex with you sooner than later, or c)believes that he can have sex with you again.

Yep, just about covers it.

I'm ussually the one that is dumped so I need a quiet period from an ex before I can be her friend. Right now I'm friends with several ex-gf's.

You're just his Play Toy. Give yourself a dose of reality. Give yourself a boost and tell Dump Chump to take a hike! It was over then. it'still is.

he wants to bang you.

The only reason guys stay friends with ex-gf is if 1) they still like her 2) they wanna bang her or 3) she's got connections. oh and 4) she's butt ugly.

Just being sincere.
