I had a felony eluding charge put on me, and went to my first hearing, ( pretty much just to set another date) but the DA didn't set a date they asked for more time. ( donno why). bibn't hear anything for over six months. I that time frame i moved to oregon and the other day got pulled over and the officer said i had a warrent out of washington for Eluding. he didn't take me in but wasn't sure if another officer wouldn't. so my Questions is will they Extradite me to washington for this? I think he said bail was around $15,000.I don't know if it makes a difference but I do have a felony record, all driving though. thanks , please help

They could ask the state to hold you on the warrant but they may just be glad your out of the state and leave it hanging until you get back in state......this would save them the expense of coming to get you back to Washington. Lots of times this happens, they don't want to spend the bucks to go get someone unless for serious crimes committed. If you get fines now where you are there and end up with another felony charge its not going to look so good on your record. You need to get your act together and call the court in Washington and see how you can settle your case since you are now living in Oregon.

They can. Whether or not they will depends on who is doing it, as you've already experienced.

You could solve all this by surrendering yourself to the Washington court, at your convenience. If you turn yourself in, you could make a great case of being released without bail.

And slow down out there. (Multiple driving felonies?! Sheesh.)

I'm surprised they haven't already extradited you it may be because alot of the jails in Washington State are extremely over crowded and they are only taking in people who have committed more serious crimes. I'd be careful though doesn't mean they wont take you in.

For one yes they can i have seen it done but it also depends on how bad the felony is. don't get me wrong felonies are a bad thing but so states look at it as thou it would cost them more to do it then to pick up up but it they take you to jail and they keep you then yes they will
