A week.
otherwise, it'll kink permanently.
you can wash it after 3 days, but can't style it for a week.
I've done it every six months for five years now, and they tell me every time i go to the salon. :D

I always thought you could braid it right after; it makes your edges look smoother. But i always wait a little while just because my hair looks so good after I have a relaxer put in that I wanna show it off!

my mother always tellsme to wait at least 2 weeks but its damn hard going that long with "knotty" hair.I usually wait about a week*and wear lots of hats&scarfs*
