to get from black to blonde you need to go to a salon, it cant be done in one sitting, your hair can only take so much. The reason being, there are underlying pigments in every colour and when you bleach or lighten they come out so when you go from black to blonde you have to break through Red red red, red red, red-orange, orange, orange-yellow, yellow, and pale yellow. And then you can tone it. But usually by this stage your hair is shot, and the cuticle is too open and usually wont hold on to a toner for more than a week. Thats why hairdressers, recommend that you do it in steps, and treat your hair between applications.

No, you need to use some toner that is blue or purple to get rid of the orange, since they are opposite colors. Unless that's what you have.

Afterwards you might also consider DYING your hair the color you want it...I wanted to try that when I had orange hair but it's too late because I dyed it black lol.

DO NOT STRIP YOUR HAIR. You cannot remove the effects of bleach. Stripping it will only make it VERY brittle.

But, you can bleach it again next week to make it a lighter shade.

It migh cover it up a little bit or darken it alltogether, but it might make it worse. It might make it bad shade of green (I'm serious). Go to a professional and ask them to help you. In general, to cancel the orange you need blue or purple.

After your edit: go to a beauty supply store and ask if they carry rinses. Buy a blue or purple rinse. Apply it on your dry (or wet) hair. Let it dry. Apply again. Repeat till you are satisfied. Rinse is temporary. It will wash out when you shampoo your hair. At least, it will solve the problem for tomorrow.

You will need to wait a couple of days and bleach it again. The only way to get rid of orange is repeated bleaching.

toner would help i guess... but my answer to orangey hair is wait a day or two and then bleach it again... it will eventually come out light enough ( when or if it gets too damaged, get a good deep conditioner) also get 40 volume... I like to get the bleach powder and developer from a beauty supply store ( Clairol 40 volume pure white developer and clairol kaleidocolors bleach powder is my favorite)

go get another box of bleach and do it again...your toner is not powerful enough. bleach it again to a light yellow and then tone it. try to stay away from your roots and wait for the bleach to match your root color.

one great way to bleach your hair (or to make it not look orange) is to mix hydrogen peroxide (diluted, of course) with lemon juice and saturate your hair with that mixture, then, go and STAND IN THE SUN. THIS STEP IS VITAL! when the orange has gone (your hair should be dry) go and wash your hair with a gentle shampoo, and there you go! no more orange! ;)

first of all bad idea lol
i had black hair and to dye it blonde, i ahd to get it done professionally, and i had to get a whole head of blonde tips put in, because in order to dye your hair blonde you have to firstly lighten your hair colour, never try to dye straight from one to the other, of it will turn out ornage or even pink.

p.s never strip your hair it will ruin it, and make it go like hay! (as in what horses eat)
