If you call crimestoppers you can do it and get a reward if they do catch them dirty.
I tell you the sad, pathetic truth, anonymous tips from citizens held much more weight with my police department than intelligence reports we submitted.
For example, I received information that there was a drug house, the people were dealing out of a ground floor window which had a cut screen. I even had the address of the house, and which window they were dealing from.
Sounds simple right? Absolutely zero happened on the complaint. Six months later, a citizen called in a tip and the
detectives came to me and said "have you got a copy of the intelligence report you did?" and then it hit me, they had thrown it away or lost it.
It didn't matter it came from an officer, when a citizen cared enough to complain, it became a top priority.
And that is the pure truth.

The best thing to do is to notify your departments narcotics bureau. Most large departments have a narcotics hotline where the information can be given; however, i would suggest going in and talking directly with a narcotics detective. I used to work narcotics and some valuable information can be given anonymously. This information at times can help obtaining probable cause for a search warrant. Law enforcement is government and if you are not satisfied with the results then talk to a supervisor. Also, ask the detective to get back in touch with you at a later time to see what has been done.

I don't know where you live so this idea may not be for you.
Several years ago someone offered my kid meth. I was furious and called the local police. I lived in a small town. The police told me since my daughter was a minor there was nothing they could do except watch. I offered the police to wear a wire and "buy" an eight ball.
Long story short - bad guys went to jail and no repercussions.
I would suggest calling the police. Your son is in rehab so there should be no fear of him being arrested. Give the police all the information.
No matter where you live, there should be plenty of informants in the area to assist them in a sting operation.
Good luck

Theists attitude the police because of the fact they seem for justice. The thief made a option to sin and thieve. this would not advise God had something to do with it, inspite of the incontrovertible fact that he remains on top of problems with the situation. it fairly is made obtrusive whilst He directs the police and the batons of their hands directly to the rigidity factors necessary to remind the thief that stealing isn't a solid concept, and greater cases then not, equivalent discomfort. alternatives: human beings cause them to all of the time on their very own like your option to ask a loaded question that backfired.

Direct confrontation, satisfying though it may be - will expose you to an angry, intoxicated criminal who may well be armed.
Leave that to the professionals.
Look in the blue pages of your telephone book under Police, and look for CID/Narcotics investigations.
Call and speak to a detective. The more info you can give him - name, description, etc. will make it more likely that he can set up surveillance and a buy.
Be a squeaky wheel, but be polite and friendly.

Your son ruined his own life. This drug dealer, even though he is a piece of ****, only sold your son something he wanted to begin with. If it hadn't been him, your son would have bought it from someone else.

just go into the PD and ask to talk to an officer. When the officer comes out, give them the info your son gave you.
