What is YOUR VIEW on this as a believer in God and His Word?

Where is the support for their own faith, so that they do not have to rely on degrading God and His Word to prove their own ideals?

Will they please support their beliefs so we may understand what they are saying it is they believe & why, without using God and the Bible in a negative manner?

" For the natural man receives NOT the things of the Spirirt of God , for they are foolishness unto him, neither can he know them, for they are spiritually discerned" - I Corin. 2:14

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ....false accusers,....fierce,despisers of them that are good,....traitors, ,....lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God,.......ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of Truth".( II Tim. 3:1-7)

That would take an open mind and less ignorance which is rarely found in regards to religion and atheism.
I think Christians who keep trying to prove it are stoking the fire. If it was provable, you wouldn't need faith and everyone would believe which we know isn't going to happen. So why do Christians keeping putting forth the effort to "prove" God, the Bible and Christianity?
When they do, we keep getting those hopelessly misquoted, out-of-context scriptures followed by rude questions asking isn't this "proof" and isn't this "evidence".."this is a contradiction" ...crap. They are given the avenue to bash so they do.
As for me personally, I don't see the point on either side. Both trying to prove the belief of the other when neither will believe the other's truth anyway. It's lot like "casting pearls before swine" at this point, to me anyway.

The Bible says the carnal mind is enmity against God. It is not subject to the laws of God and cannot be. Only the Holy Spirit can convict a person, christians can't. And only the Holy Spirit can enlighten a person. It is our job to pray for atheists and speak the truth in a loving way.

I agree with you......and carnally is a good adjective to describe it. I associate that with the Muslim extremists.....who think if they commit suicide by bombing, they're going to have like 72 virgins. I don't believe that all that will be going on in His Presence.....and it's always something sexual.....so that tells me that it's not from God. We'll be in a spiritual realm then......no need for any sex or the related acts. Have a great day.

Er.

That's what I have done here since I got here.

I don't refer to the Christian bible to prove my beliefs. I don't refer to Christianity to prove my beliefs.

I mean, really...I'm not at all interested in proving my beliefs to you or to other Christians. Or Muslims. Or atheists. or whoever.

I think that if you do a little searching here for questions that ask Wiccans and/or Pagans what we believe and why, you'll find that MOST of us don't ever give even a passing reference to Christianity or your bible when we talk about why we believe what we believe.

In case you haven't noticed, the Bible is a large book. It is open to interpretation, as demonstrated by the myriad volumes of revised versions of said book.

In case you haven't learned, the Bible has been written over centuries from many different authors, a lot of them unknown. Because of this, it contains thousands of contradictions, inconsistencies, and absurdities. It is not that difficult to point them out... just look at the first 2 chapters of Genesis and try to tell me that they are the same story.

I'm an atheist... I don't have to support my beliefs, as I have none concerning your god. I don't believe that he exists.
You, the believer, who asserts that he DOES exist and attempt to prove his existence through a poorly-compiled tome, has the burden of proof.

By the way... "carnal" is synonymous with "erotic". You can't carnally overanalyze something.

Jesus has warned us that in the last days many deceivers will come into the church

2Co 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
2Co 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
2Co 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

2Pe 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2Pe 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
2Pe 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

1Jo 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

I've heard alot of nonsense when it came to backing up their hatred towards Christians. Nonsense such as "Religions start wars, Christians force their religion on others, Christians hate people of other Faiths and phylosophies, Christians are rude, Christians are Fascist, etc.... All which are far from the truth.

With Satan being the Father of Lies I guess we can see where they get their motivation from.
