Does the OTC/ROTC substitute for basic training??!?!?

No, you just go in as the lowest ranked officer

NO . You must go to basic training . That is a school program only. Fun though. OTC is Officers Training Course and ROTC is a high school program. You must be in the Air Force befor you go to OTC.

Yes. It works that way for all branches, except maybe the Marine Corps. I know there was talk at one time of making all marines go through boot at either Parris Island or San Diego. Interestingly, in the Marine Corps, ROTC does not substitute for OCS.

JROTC is high school. ROTC is college. I think you actually mean OTS, as opposed to OTC.

Well, sorta. Depends on what course you are taking to join the Airforce. If you are going in as an officer, ROTC/OST is your "Basic Training". If you are going in "Enlisted" then you complete "Basic Training" - often referred to as "Boot Camp".

no you will attend basic at some point, or a specialty school (airborne, ranger, etc)
