If you're staying within the US, you do not need a passport. But as of 1/8/07, you now need a passport to get into Canada and Mexico whether you're flying or driving.

No, passports are necessary only to travel outside the US. Any other valid photo ID is neccessary for domestic flights.

If you are a US citizen and are traveling within the US, you currently do NOT need a passport, just a valid drivers license/ID.

You need a government-issued picture ID. Your passport should work, but CERTAINLY also bring your Green Card (it is not a TSA issue, but you need to be able to show you are properly authorized to be in the country). If you have a US driver's license, bring that. Firstly, you will need it if you want to drive in Florida, and secondly, it also works as the government-issued picture ID for TSA. Have fun. No. Passports are only necessary when traveling to forgin countries (Excluding, Canada. Including, Mexico.)
