Does gender affect heartbeat or pulse?

Does 1. gender affect heartbeat and 2. how does music affect heartbeat? Please give a good deatailed explanation not a one sentence answer like yes it does.

I will try :)
The latest thinking is that the resting pulse if normal at around 60 - 80 beats per minute (bpm). That lowers with fitness, an althletes pulse could be as low as 45 and still be healthy. There is usally no distinction made between males and females.

Music. That would depend on what sort. Studies have been done which measure the bpm with different styles of music. As you would expect exciting rousing music adds to teh rate whilst soothing music lowers the rate.
