Sciatica.
It's a pinched nerve in a lower vertebrae and can cause severe pain in your upper thigh or buttock and your lower back.
There are simple exercises that can help relieve the pain, such as situps with your knees bent, and lying flat on a surface with your feet flat and arching your back upwards - hip thrusts.
Also, poor posture can cause it, so sit up straight and keep your feet flat on the floor when sitting for long periods of time.

It's probably a bulging disc in your lumbar vertebrae which is causing a nerve to get pinched (caused by doing manual labor while bending over or movements like that). Try not to do those types of movements (like cleaning a bathtub) for awhile and support your lower back when you are carrying heavy items, etc. Also, stand with equal weight on both feet not on just one foot or the other. Basically, you have to figure out what caused it and try to stop doing that.
Also, I have found that lying on your stomach with a pillow or two underneath your tummy and hips will help give space to the discs that are affected so that the hip and leg pain will go away.

So many things for woman-
When laying on your back or sitting up in a chair or even "Other times" its the sciatic nerve.
.
Often times a lower back is a nerve issue from the following:
spine misalignment (bones), hips being displaced or even injured.
Ironically the uterus has a lot to do with it as well. The nerves that are in that region oftern effect or radiate to the lower back- this is a serious and common pain with pregrant and mentrating and menapausal woman.
I would do the following.
Go see the MD- rule out any nerve or internal issues.
If you get muscle relaxers, then that won't fix the problem.
Go to a Chiropractor- they will xray your spine and realign it and get a deep tissue massage on your entire body the first time.
That way you will "feel" where the tight areas of concern are, gauge the pain and how quickly it returns.
It will. SORRY- it take as least 4-6 times of regular care to "re align" the structure and retrain the muscle to hold it into place.
Best wishes. No one should live in pain.
Also if you can- strengthen your "core" muscles, you abs will help carry the weight or "bear the burden" to take pressure off your lower back. Your body is designed to do that.

GO TO THE DOCTOR ASAP! I have had two lower back fixes, and so far the pain doesn't last too long if I lift too much etc. Evidence of sciatic nerve would be Burning in thighs front or back, thats the easiest way to determine if its just that, Im a lil obese as well and cooking, standing too long and it starts to burn with some lower back pains. Girl, go to the doctor, no pain meds tho, I got addicted quick on those!!! I sleep with pillow between knees on my side, switch sides and swim alot, but you 16 and its not normal for that much pain. Please get some help, if you just let it go, a simple swollen disk could lead to a life time of pain.
