Everybody in the other Grade 5 class calls me "Tater Tot" just because I'm 4'9 and they're all, like, 5'1. I am very self-consious about my height and it bothers me. The funny part is I've gone through puberty. No, I haven't started my periods, but still. How can I get this teasing to stop?

even though it really bothers you, act with all your courage that it doesn't. Laugh at it, when they say it. eventually they will realize they aren't getting to you n e more. You know what would really get them? wear a name tag or t shirt with tater tot on it. good luck hun. Keep ur chin up

well first off your the new kid everyone picks on the new kid it's just natural also if you used to cut yourself thats problly why they call u emo second u have your hair dyed 2 different darker colors and it's straight that is another reason and thirdly u said that u sit around during break listing to music and reading books u gotta be a more social person im not that social but i still have a lot of friends that could also be a reason im not trying to be mean but your best bet to stop being called emo is to fix all these things that ive listed and make some friends and rabbits are delicious lol

Then you haven't gone through puberty yet. Look it up on the web....you still have growing time left. The best way to get the teasing to stop is to ignore it. The more they push your buttons and get the response/reaction they want they will keep doing it. If you ignore them (don't answer to the name or even recognize they are talking to you) it will take the fun out and they will stop. I bet you will grow taller this coming summer.

if you are in 5th grade you still got a lot of time to grow, even if you dont grow theyll mature out of it. As for right now, just stick through it.

thats stupid or rather.. they're stupid
my friend or friends are short,, like really short. Im in 10th grade and maybe 5'6 they still havent reached 5 feet yet, but their really cool people and even tho sometimes i tease them for it, no one really cares that they're short. The funny thing is, they hit really hard so no one makes fun of them. What i am trying to say is, act like you dont care about their teasing and DONT care. I mean, they're just being losers who pick on you because they dont like something about themselves. And 5th grade isnt that serious those kids are jerks and find a group of friends who love you for who you are and not your appearence.

Don't worry so much about it! Being on the short side when you're a girl is a good thing! You won't ever have to worry about being taller than a guy you are dating! Short = petite, and that is very cute! :0)

Don't let `em know it bothers you. Kids will always be Kids. Once they see that it's over for you? They'll try to find something else to bug you about. You'll have to put up with that logic, until you're, .....30 or so.

well, totty, make sure you NEVER answer to "Tator Tot". if they call you that expecting some kind of response, always wait till they call you your name, or a nickname you prefer. insist on it! then they'll have to stop, eventually (probably sooner than you think.

When someone says "Tater Tot" don't response. If they continue, just ignore it. And when they come over to you and ask why you haven't acknowledge them, you say "My name is________.
