I have been reading up on some of the answers to this question, because i get red and blotchy on my neck and face for no reason, even when i am completely relaxed. Someone on this site mentioned that there was an info mertial on this same subject, and was wondering if anyone knew anything more about that. And i also heard that it could be lack of white blood cells, or even that dairy products could be causing this. I try to ignore it, but sometimes it's just too tough! ANY suggestions, or feedback on this, PLEASE let me know and I sure would appreciate it...

Hi! I was just about to post the same question!! I get this too, when I'm stressed or nervous, but sometimes I'm fine and I don't even notice it's there until someone says "what's wrong with your neck" then i get really self concious and it just makes it worse!! It's horrible!! Anyway, I have been on beta-blockers (propanalol) which work a bit but not completely. I have discovered a great forum with lots of people discussing this problem and there seem to be lots of things to try http://www.partypop.com/Forums/Weddings/m109004.htm

The main things they seem to say are betablockers, antihistamines, ETS, Eucerin redness relief cream, dermablend, yoga, hemmerhoid cream, and 5-HTP

From one blotchy person to another!! Good Luck :-)

it is definately a allergic reaction. The greater you disclose your self to the ingredient which you're allergic to, the greater severe the reaction could be. in the form which you develope situation respiratory or the different respirtory compramise, 911 is definately a necessity. even though for gentle circumstances like your self 50mg's of Benedryl (2 pills of OTC benedryl) will take care of the hives and any soreness. I doubt this has something to do with blood stress, based on your loved ones history and present history. a 10 minute telephone call on your PMD will definately settle the situation.

that happens to a friend of mine. she once went to a doctor and got lots of allergy testing done and she asn't allergic to anything. It ended up being because of stress. Even when you feel relaxed your may not actualy be relaxed.

Try different benadryl products. If it happens at night before you go to sleep, take a pill. If it happens during the day, carry around benadryl cream, cortizone or other various over the counter creams.

Feel Better!!

Acne? Psoriasis? Go to your local dermatologist to find out exactly what it is.
