I am not 100% on this as I am not from Mass but Pa told me that until I establish a residence I am good to go with my old stuff. You have 30 days after that to change everything. Check local law to be sure

First the say you must get a license upon becoming a resident (Who Needs a Massachusetts License?
Residents of Massachusetts (MA) are required to have a valid MA license to legally operate a vehicle in MA. Out-of-state or foreign-licensed drivers MUST obtain a MA driver's license upon becoming a MA resident.)

But then they go on to say you must provide your social security number, but don't say anything about proving you are a resident. I'd say just go to the office with your old license and your social security card and tell them you've moved there and see what they say.

for the time being you can drive on your old license. once you start work or school you have 30 days to channge it over. by then you should have a pay stub or school registration paperwork--good luck
