I said some bad words today and my mom says that my dad is going to spank me when he gets home tonight. I am really scared. I don't think I should get a spanking. Spankings hurt so much. What should I do?

Refuse to take the spanking,
wear cutoffs underneath your jeans for extra protection,

Don't say bad words in the future. As for now, sorry hun time to face the music. No - not by a long shot 12 is not to old to spank, maybe it's getting up there, but if i have to I'll spank my girls when they are 12. I am sure your father wishes he'd not be spanking his 12 year old daughter, how bout try making him proud and not deserving one, that way your all happy. Be thankful your daddy spends the time and cares enough about how you turn out to do the hard stuff too. You should give him a hug and tell him Thank You, and I love you.

First of all you probably will not listen to anyone on here you just want everyone to feel sorry for you! But you should not have talked to your Mom that way !!! You should have more respect for her!!!! If you think you are grown up enough to talk to her this way then stand and take the spanking. It is your fault you are getting the spanking!!! Next time I would think before I started cussing again!!!

You have it coming. If I were you I would be ready for the spanking when he gets there. and tell him you know your behavior was naughty and that you know you have this coming. Then hand him the hairbrush or whatever and bend over. Maybe you readiness to accept the punishment will make him go easier. Afterwards cry a lot and hug him a lot and make it clear you love your parents. They will then feel guilty for having spanked you.

Spanking worked wonders when I was a kid. I learned a valuable lesson.... If you don't get caught, you don't get punished. I have carried this important teaching throughout my adult life. What the cops don't find out, won't get me arrested. I should thank my parents someday for it.
All spanking does is teach a child to fear reprimand, and not to do things for the right reasons. If you're spanked for bad language, then you'll simply learn to say those things outside of your parents' earshot. No one I ever knew growing up ever stopped cussing because they were spanked. They just did it in school and with friends. Why? Quite frankly, because it was the norm. Everyone that attends school hears it from there friends, and most will talk like that when among them. Sometimes they slip up and let an adult hear it, or sometimes they simply don't care if an adult hears them. They get a slap on the wrist, or butt, and can mosey back out to do what they have always been doing.
When I was a child, if I screwed up (meaning, if I got caught), I got the belt on my naked backside, usually by my father or grandmother. This was up into my teens, when it was almost unheard of to be spanked. At those ages, all spanking does is anger the child towards the spanker, or make them fear them. I didn't really have a healthy relationship with my father until I was out from under his heel, and could speak my mind freely. I don't bring up being spanked as a kid, because it would just pull up bad memories and make us mad at each other. I'd rather put it behind me and just assume that all parents make mistakes, and you can't fault them for trying. Still, there's a time that they should look and see that what they're doing isn't working. I've done nothing to hide from my parents that I'm the least legally-minded of their children. I could easily have been in jail for a good portion of my adult life.... if I'd ever been caught.

No you are not to old to be spanked if you are still doing the bad actions that deserve spanking. ACT RIGHT and you would not have to even be concerned!

I dont think at the age of 12 u mambe need a spanking, there is really other ways of dealing with this,i have a 12 yr old boy and we dont spank him, we have other ways of dealing with our child, and spanking a child is not one of them.but your mom and dad have their way of dealing with their children,if u cant think of a way out of it just take it or mambe ask for a diffrent kind of punishment.

Why say those words if you don't want to be spanked? It's very easy to avoid spankings. Just stop doing things that are going to get you introuble.

tell your dad u r sorey and that u still love him that should show him that u are a older u should be spank this time. but ask your dad if next time if the could ground u.

Nope, i think you deserve to be punished however your folks see fit! Stop cursing and u wont have this problem! Or course u dont think u deserve a spanking, no kid does....all i can say is, take it like a trooper and learn from this butt whoopin!

i am sorry but i agree with the parents, if you didnt want a spanking, perhaps you should not have sworn.
cant do the time, dont do the crime.
