is orbitz a good place to buy airline tickets?

For the most part, yes. I have gotten tickets from Orbitz a few times over the last two years. I have used them for national and international flights. The prices are always one of the lowest out there and the website is easy to use. Customer service is easily reachable and you can check your flight status on line. They also send you automated reminders about your flight using email and telephone which is nice.

If you are set with your dates, then I would say go for it. If you are worried that you may need super-flexibility, then purchase from the airlines.

Since its popular guess some people get good prices but I haven't on my yearly flights overseas. I actually do better going to the airline online and booking with them....but check your 2 closest airports you could use, sometimes that will make a difference. Also time of year you fly will affect prices if overseas. I have used Yahoo Travel and done a flight search thru there and its pretty good also to see what the other airlines are charging for the same flight.....Good Luck

i've always used orbitz. i do look for rates at surrounding areas, which sometimes are cheeper than where i am at. it helps to look around.. definitely do a comparison. from orbitz, to yahoo, to the airline website.. also, costco and a lot of other credit card companies now offer air travel. good luck

I have purchased tickets from orbitz before and found the price to be good. Cheaptickets & Priceline are also good places to check out prices before buying the ticket.
