I've been to the doc's. I wake up and seem fine, usually, but by 12pm I'm on the road to falling on my face. I've had tests done with no results. I have no motivation. I was getting severe joint pain, but everything came up negative. The pain seems to come with the onset of warm weather; not usual. There are so many things I like to do and want to do, but I nap now all the time, bc I'm so exhausted. I sleep 7 to 9 hrs a night and 2 to 3 when I get home from work. My doc says to come back 6mths to a yr, but I've been feeling this way since I was 23, it's getting old fast. I'm in a happy relationship, good job, great future plans ahead, but I want to sleep all the time. I hope somebody has an answer or a suggestion.

Hi..
there are two common reason for tiredness, first reason being that you may have blood sugar problems, you can solve this by staying off sugar and stimulants and eating 'slow - release' carbohydrates such as rye or oats as part of wholefood diet. Include plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables in your diet.
The second reason may be due to adrenal exhaustion, which is worsened by stimulants like caffeine and stress.
Try ginseng, rhodiola, reishi and ashwaganda these are 'adaptogenic' herbs which keep adrenal hormones on an even keel and increase your energy.
hope this would be useful to you.

Well it could be an array of different things not physically "something" wrong. It could be your diet or maybe your just bored... enroll yourself in somekind of activity. If you feel fine and everything else checks out as normal maybe your just bored of your routine.. on a subconscience level. go jogging or read play sport find a hobby... make yourself do these things.. so maybe those 2-3 hours you sleep when you come home you have something to do... I know it not the best overall advise but sometimes trying different things keeps you awake don't overdue it but try it doesnt hurt to change your routine. Hope this helps a little.

I know that you have been to the doctor already, but I highly recommend that you get a complete thyroid panel. This is a blood test that looks at the details of your thyroid and it gives more accurate results. I have found out that thyroid problems run in my family and actually, my doctor is trying to get the thyroid panel to become a standard testing procedure for all women during their yearly physicals due to how common it is. Anyway, you could have HYPOthyroid which makes one feel extremely tired and never well-rested enough. The opposite, HYPERthyroid makes one jittery and very active, but then that person may crash a week later.

I hope this helps. Thyroid problems are so common but aren't tested for nearly enough!

Take care.

Are you depressed? Depression can make you sleepy and even cause joint pain.

Also, have you had your thyroid checked or been checked for dibetes? These also can make you sleepy.

One last thing could be you are missing the natural light that spring and summer brings. Try leaving on some lights and exercising. This can really help.

Hormone imbalance. Fatigue, lack of motivation, joint pain or aches and pains are symptoms. Especially if you use or have used birth control pills, or have a sugary diet.
Did you get any blood testing done to check your estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, DHEA or thyroid levels? (few doctors ever bother to check the endocrine system)

Well maybe you weren't cut out to be wide open all the time! If you get tired, sit & relax some and if you feel rested, jump up and get some more done. It really sounds like you are taking on more than you can mentally/physacilly handle.

Do you eat breakfast in the morning? Breakfast is a very important meal of the day. Meals should never be skipped. Check your diet, and check with your doctor again.

Changing your routine might help a little, too.

Well I am not a doctor so I can't tell you what is wrong but maybe you should consider seeing a specialist if your doctor can not figure out what the problem is. You know your body best, and if you think there is something wrong then there probably is.

Fatigue could be due to poor diet or lack of activity. Make sure you eat well and move around ;)
