I'm 14.My parents don't let me go outside.I tried to talk to the new neighbors and when i stepped out the door my dad came running out of the house pulling me by my hair back into the house with him.I had a friend ,he is 15 and I miss him its about a year since iv'e seen him.My parents lie constantly. They told me that we were going to a concert soon.2 months later ,it was the day we were supposed to go to the concert when I was looking forward to it .Then they said "it was just a joke get over it" does anyone have any advice?

I know how you feel!!My parent's were the same way. They were so controlling they ruined my childhood.I am 25 yrs old now and I am so glad that I don't have to put up with that anymore!!I ended up leaving when I turned 17.My best advice to you is to try to talk with them and if that doesn't work look in the phone book in the yellow pages and call a child help hot line.I don't know the circumstances of your situation,so I don't know exactly what you should do.If you are being abused in any way then just call for help.

sounds like they're 2 controlling, maybe U should ask a couselour @ school 4 a way of being able 2 sit down w/ Ur parents 2 discuss Ur issue. Maybe they don't trust U & think U'll B up2 no good. Have U given them a reason 4 them 2 act this way?? if yes, then maybe U should ask how U can make it better.

I'm not sure why your parents are doing this...Your parents may be crazy, over protective or simply abusing you.

I'd like to suggest you to talk to them about this BUT since your parents have been already pulling your hair(physical damage to you), and telling you "It was just a joke, get over it"(toying with your feeling)...I don't think your feelings and thoughts will get through.

Say, do you go to school? or are you home schooled? If you happened to go to school, you could talk to someone there. I don't know how you go to school with your parents making you to not go out though...

If you are home schooled and I can see you having internet connection, you can search on Google about teen abuse. Don't forget to delete history so your parents won't see what you've been doing about this(Press Ctrl and H at same time)

I hope things will get better for you and take care.

Sounds like parents have a big problem. If you have done nothing to warrant them to act like this then you need help or they do. You must still be in school so why don`t you talk to the school nurse, your teacher or the principal. Also try talking to a priest. Another question is how do get to get on the computer and put this question on if they won`t let you go outside. SOMETHING SOUNDS FISHY

Yes.Talk to your school counselor.
They are trained therapists and you can tell them ANYTHING.
They will have your best interests in mind.
Pulling you by the hair and not allowing you out of the house are serious signs your parents have over stepped the bounds.
Don't be afraid, talk to your school counselor,or a trusted teacher, they will help you.If your home schooled talk to a friend's parents, thier are numbers you can call.

Dude...your parents are screwed up. Seriously. Have you ever done anything to betray their trust in a major way? Not something stupid, like sneaking out, but something serious? Oh well. Even if you have, they are being ridiculous. Tell someone, if you can. Maybe a teacher or something...unless you get homeschooled. That would suck...then...idk...call the police?

Good luck!

Just put up with your parents till you are 18 years old then move out, but first get a job when you turn 16 and save your money because you are going to need it.

You need to call the police as soon as possible. Your parents are abusing you. Your father has no right to lay a hand on you at all.

Well maybe you could have a serious talk to them. Like serious. Say that maybe you want to stop being home schooled ( if you do ) and tell them that you really need to be social.
Good Luck!

Why won't they let you go outside? If I were you I'd contact child protective services. Your parents are not being very good ones. Get help, for both your parents, and your sake.
