I would recommend that you work through your local volunteer center. I work with a group that is affiliated with the Hands On Network, which provides all sorts of great volunteer opportunities. I'm assuming you mean Antelope, CA, in the Sacramento area? If so, your local affiliate is called Hands On Sacramento. Here's the link:

http://www.handsonsacto.org/

They can provide one-time, short-term, or long-term volunteer opportunities for you. The minimum age is 14, so you should have no problem signing up.

If you're in a different area, try searching for your local center at one of these links:

Your volunteer center can connect you with all sorts of youth volunteer opportunities. Also, if you need community service hours for school clubs or projects, the volunteer center can also provide you with the appropriate documentation that you may need as well.

Good luck
