only when the child starts to show an interest. i.e; telling you as soon as their diaper is dirty, sitting on the potty trying to be a "big boy or girl", throwing their dirty diaper away after you change it. those are all signs. most children are ready by age 2.

It all depends on the maturity of your child and how well they communicate. If they can tell you they have to use the bathroom then you should start working with them. Usually around 2 they start to respond well and it's not good to push them before they can tell you they have to go. I also think girls potty train a little easier because all girls mature a little faster in life then boys in most cases. My 2 girls were both potty trained by 2 but my son is 2 now and we just started working on it. Be patient!

Start potty training at around the age of 7 1/2 years. At that age it's pretty easy to train

Just under 1 year old. I heard something interesting about this topic in eastern Germany to this day they hold the child on the potty chair with a belt around the waist until the child goes. The success rate is very high, most are trained to use the potty and out of diapers by around 1 year old. It sounds cruel but think of how much easier it would be and how many less diapers we would have in the dump.

21 to 24 months is a good time to start, usually by providing a potty chair to develop interest. You can start earlier, but it takes longer - cancelling out the early start. Most kids are potty trained by 2 1/2 to 3 years old, regardless of how early you start.

If you are really devoted, you can start as soon as they start crawling.

i've seen this on television, a new generation of parents just stop using diapers after the first few months, and then started using a baby potty and put their baby on it every time it was about to go.
and they say it worked 95% of the time, of course there where a few accidents but the result is that they are potty trained as soon as they can walk.

If you want your child potty trained very early then it's good to start them when they can sit up straight them self. Even if you just sit him/her on the potty once a day at around usual poop/pee time, with lots of toys/books/etc, and make a big fuss of them if they do do something in the potty! You'd be surprised by how quickly they'll catch on!

Typically around 2 or 3. Signs to tell if your child is ready: they show discomfort or complain they are wet or soiled, they stay dry throughout the night, they tell you when they are going to the bathroom, and/or they show interest in flushing, the "potty", and imitating your actions.
If your child is not trained by 4 years of age you need to seek help. Your child has some sort of delay.

2 years you start trying, some kids learn faster than others so don't get too frustrated if it doesn't take right away. With my 2nd child, he was still not potty trained at 3 and a half, so I took away his diapers and he ran naked around the house. He had a few accidents, #1 and #2 but it only took 2 days and he figured it out.

when they come to you and tell you they need to be change because they potty and number 1 that is a good indicator that they don't like the way it feels mostly by the time they are 2 or 2 and a half

24 mos. Some kids take a LONG time to potty train though. My youngest son was 3 before he was completely trained. That's because he has/had learning disabilities.
