Engine thermostat stuck open, blocked heater core, or blend door cable broken or unhooked. Of course make sure that there's water in the radiator

maybe a vacuum leak. Does your temperature control use a vacuum signal or does it have the old style cable? There will be a control device on one of the heater hoses, if this is not opening, then you'll not get the coolant flow through the heater core. I'll assume that your engine is running at the correct temp. If it's not, then you could have a thermostat stuck open and the engine is running too cold.

you are probably out of antifreeze or your heater core is clogged or bad. but if you are as mechanically inclined as you type, you should bring it to a garage.
