I recently purchased a trolley on wheels and am putting my waste paper in it and also plastic and metal bottles and cans. I am amazed how quickly it is filled up. The amount of waste we can recycle is phenonomyl. Are you taking it seriously?

The biggest problem with recycling today is that municipalities haven't been as successful in finding outlets for recycled trash as they've been in encouraging citizens to recycle. In other words, still too much of is ending up at the landfills anyway, after carefully being sorted out and collected. And a lot of municipalities aren't happy with the net cost to them to maintain recycling programs.

I note that you're active and enthusiastic about collecting waste paper and plastic. What we really need are more people finding USE for the collected stuff. I know lots of people going around collecting recyclable stuff, but nobody that actually reprocessing them for products and profit. So, if you really want to help, put your brains to finding productive and profitable ways of using recycled trash. Calling upon your government to slam taxes and fees on your competitors that don't make use of recyclables is cheating, and anyway, any moron can do that.

I love to recycle! I dont like throwing so much away that could be recycled (like plastics # 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7). The reycling center I go to only accepts plastic #2 with necks...what difference does a bottle having a neck make? They melt it down anyway.

Everyone should recycle, it makes a big difference! If everyone recycled, landfills would only be a fraction of what they are now!

Absolutely, and good for you. I grew up in California so you just got use to doing it. But when I moved to DC, it seems like no one here recycles I was amazed. But I still do it. So should everyone.

I'm starting to. It's just hard because I don't know where to put the stuff I want to recycle.

No... it truly is why it truly is referred to as "emptying the recycle bin". It deletes deleted stuff. completely. you're prepared to get them back with a equipment restoration, yet i visit't ascertain that one hundred%.

It's much more important to reduce and re-use. Recycling required an enormous amount of energy - almost pointless really.
